Novare Group Breaks Ground on ViewPoint

36-story, Mixed-Use High-Rise Condominium at Peachtree and 7th to Combine Old Atlanta and New

ATLANTA (August 30, 2006) - Novare Group, the Atlanta-based developer of high-rise condominiums and the pioneer of Atlanta's Midtown residential renaissance, and Loudermilk/Rohrig, LLC broke ground today on ViewPoint, a 36-story, 385-unit high-rise condominium development on approximately two acres on Peachtree Street between Sixth and Seventh in the heart of Midtown. With its location on Atlanta's developing "Midtown Mile" retail corridor, ViewPoint will feature 30,000 square feet of signature two-story retail space on Peachtree Street.

Marrying old Atlanta and new, the project includes an historic Neel Reid building that will be preserved, converted into luxury residences and incorporated into the new development. The Starbucks at the corner of Peachtree and Seventh Streets will also remain.

The cornerstone of Midtown Alliance's Blueprint Midtown community master plan is the addition of two million square feet of retail space primarily along Peachtree Street. Similar to Chicago's Magnificent Mile and New York's Madison Avenue, the "Midtown Mile" will merge new and existing retail into a cosmopolitan shopping and dining district. According to the Alliance, over 100,000 square feet of retail is currently under development with expected completion in the next two years.

"Novare Group has been a pioneer in the revitalization of Midtown, creating the residential density that is attracting retail," said Susan Mendheim, executive director of the Midtown Alliance. "They are on the leading edge yet again with ViewPoint's two-story retail spaces. This type of development is exactly what we need to continue the transformation of Peachtree into Atlanta's grand signature boulevard."

Designed by The Preston Partnership and constructed by R.J. Griffin, ViewPoint will include many of Novare Group's well-known amenities and stylistic touches, including floor-to-ceiling glass, large balconies, 10-foot ceilings, kitchens with granite and stainless steel, and high-tech features such as ultra-high speed Internet access and pre-wiring for surround sound. Community amenities will include a club-quality fitness center with aerobic and weight areas, resort-style pool deck with grilling areas, and poolside clubroom with high-definition plasma TVs and other amenities. Residents will also experience the convenience of 24/7 concierge service, controlled access and reserved parking.

"Midtown Atlanta continues to attract young professionals who are looking for a state-of-the-art luxury lifestyle at an affordable price point," said Conor McNally of Novare Group.

The project will feature one and two-bedroom condominium homes. Sales are expected to begin in early 2007. For more information, visit www.ViewPointMidtown.com.

ViewPoint follows in the footsteps of Novare Group's Metropolis in 2001, Spire in 2004, and TWELVE Atlantic Station in 2005. Each of these projects met with tremendous market acceptance and sold out within a few months. Also currently under development by Novare in Midtown is The Atlantic, a 46-story condominium of 401 residences in Atlantic Station®.
