Jim Veil is President of TWELVE Hotels & Residences. Bringing more than three decades in the hospitality industry to his role, Mr Veil joined Novare Group in 2005 and oversaw the opening of the brand's first hotel, TWELVE Atlantic Station, in 2006. The hotel was named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2006 Hot List, a prestigious selection of the world's best new hotels, and in 2007 it was named Best Condo-Hotel by the National Association of Home Builders. Prior to joining Novare Group, Veil was with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and last served as Regional Vice President, Pre-Opening, spearheading 22 openings over three years. During his tenure with The Ritz Carlton, he held the positions of General Manager, Vice President of Rooms and Regional Vice President and was an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team as the company grew from five hotels to 58. He also was part of the management team that won the highly coveted Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award an unprecedented two times, the first hotel company ever to do so. Over the course of his career, he has also been affiliated with Marriott International and worked directly for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and serves on the Board of Directors for its School of Hospitality Business.
